Itinerary
Day 01 : Bangkok – Chiang Mai Half Day Doi Suthep+ Kantoke Dinner (D)
Arrival Chiang Mai International Airport / Please look for your driver who holding the signboard with your name and transferred to your Hotel. 13.30 hrs. Start sightseeing the trip entails a pleasant 15 km. wildly driving up 3,500 feet above sea level to visit Wat Prathat Doi Suthep, this symbol of Chiang Mai contains the holy relic of the Lord Buddha which is enshrined in the magnificent, glowing golden pagoda. Evening enjoy dining on delicious Northern Thai Cuisine called “Khantoke Dinner” including Hill tribes dances performed by the Akha, Yao, Lisu and Karen tribes rounds up this entertaining evening.

Day 02 Full day Experience Elephant riding & Bamboo Rafting Tour (B/L/-)
After breakfast at hotel,
Morning. Pick up from the hotel and head to the northern part of Chiang Mai. Arrive Mae Taman Elephant Camp situated on the bank of the Mae Tang River. Start a full day trip by watching the Elephant’s bathing enjoying themselves with the mahouts in the river which’s lovely and fun! Then, a show of how these magnificent animals working in the timber industry by pushing, dragging and rolling logs in unison at the command of their mahouts. Also many activities are being performed to show their talent and intelligence for instances playing soccer, game, massage and even draw such a beautiful painting of abstract, trees, flowers or even picture of themselves. It’s now a time for an exciting 45 minutes Elephant ride crossing the river and climbing hills into the lush jungle. You’ve got to “swing with the sway” as you rumble and thrash along…and hang on tight folks. (Elephants are very sure-footed animals). Then experience 15 minutes Ox-Cart riding back to the camp.
Lunch A Buffet lunch is provided at the restaurant inside the camp.
Afternoon After lunch, enjoy about an hour Bamboo rafting trip on the placid Mae Tang River. Usually glide along during a Summer time when the river is quite shallow. Relax & enjoy the scenery on both sides of the Tang River. Finish a rafting trip and Further to the Orchid Farm on route and stop at an Orchid Nursery and Butterfly Farm filled with more than 50 different varieties of gorgeous orchid blooms in a dazzling array of colures. There is a superb collection of exotic butterflies to dazzle and bewitch you. Return to the hotel.

Day 03 Full Day Chiangrai & Golden Triangle Tour (B)
After breakfast Start from the hotel in Chiang Mai driving along a wildly route via Doi Saket
Morning through scenic hills, valleys and villages. A short break is made at Mae Khachan Hot Spring and White Temple. Proceed to Chiang Rai province. Visit Akha & Yao hill tribe villages in Mae Chan area. View around taking pictures of tribal villages & people who still dress up in their traditional costume as well as purchasing some cheap crafts from them. As the Akha especially is still a very poor people then, extra money is normally asked if you’re taking their picture anyway if you’re still happy to do that please negotiate with them before.
Afternoon Continue to the ancient town of Chiang Saen, the capital of the kingdom until 13th century before King Meng Rai, the founder of Lanna Kingdom moved the capital to Chiang Rai. At that time the Myanmese also arrived and started to occupy the area, Chiang Saen was then totally destroyed and became an abandoned city for many decades. Visit Wat Chedi Luang, almost 800 years old temple also one of the most important temples in Chiang Saen that was also destroyed and left abandoned. Further drive along the Mekong’s River Bank to The World Renowned, Golden Triangle, the mystery land in the past related to the Drug Trade and War. Buffet lunch at the restaurant. Drive up a small hill to a scenic point at Wat Pu Kao for a picturesque view over the Mekong River and the meeting point of 3 different countries; (Golden Triangle) Thailand – Laos – Myanmar. Then, take a short walk from the temple down to the Opium Museum where questions and curiosity about the Opium are replied. Go on travelling to Mae Sai, a bustling market at the border town with Myanmar and the northern most point of Thailand. Shop around for some precious stones particularly Jade from Myanmar as well as Chinese Goods that are shipped along the Mekong River down to Thailand. 16.45hrs Transfer to Chiang Rai Airport (Flight time should after 5 pm.)
